Black Sea Mother

The sculpture reflects the symbiosis of strength and fragility, hidden in the depths of the Black Sea. Shaped like an oyster — traditionally associated with a pearl and marine delicacy — it embodies resilience amid the ongoing military conflicts in the Black Sea and the pollution caused by the recklessness of the russian occupiers.
On the outside, it appears strong, closed, and almost indifferent to the chaos around it. However, its internal form, resembling a female figure, is tender and vulnerable. This woman protects her child — a pearl that symbolizes hope and life, enduring despite the constant danger and threat of extinction.
