Two works, created in different media and from different perspectives with a one-year gap, were never intended to merge into a single statement.

However, time has revealed a shared root — a reflection on the artist’s sudden and profound loss of a loved one, specifically her godfather.

This piece presents the artist's perspective on her late godfather’s life. Through the imagery of a fluid line, the natural environment, and her own body, she conceptually explores the transience of existence. Her godfather’s life was one of peace and a deep love for nature, mirrored in the flowing continuity of the line.

However, the abrupt transition to a single point disrupts this movement, symbolizing an unexpected end—sudden death.

This work captures the artist’s perspective on her grandmother—the mother of her late godfather—who still struggles with overwhelming grief. The portrait was created at her grandmother’s request, driven by a strong desire to see herself through her granddaughter’s eyes. Yet, upon seeing the final piece, she remained unsatisfied, believing it did not appear mournful enough.
